Models, Particles, Audio, UI Assignment

For the assignment this week, I had to add models, particles, audio, and UI to last weeks assignment.

In the recorded footage, I was unable to have someone else play it with me this time so I just recorded it myself. It took a lot of skill to do both at once haha.

Models

I continued to use the Modular Old Town asset pack from the Epic Marketplace, but I went back through and added more details and structures in the experience to get rid of the default look in some areas. No other models were used from anywhere else but this asset pack.

Particles

I created two particle systems. The first one plays when reaching the end of the level. It is a vortex of sparks that will shoot upward, and then spin around rapidly.

The second system created plays over moving elements when pressing some of the switches. This particle randomizes color, saturation, and value and then falls downward like confetti.

Audio

I added numerous sounds to the experience. Most of them I used sounds already present in the project. These included doors opening, standing on switches, and objects sliding in and out.  These were either Engine default sounds or added by you previously.

I also added this party horn sound to the checkpoints and to the victory switch.

I also found some silly background music to loop quietly in the background.

UI

My experience does not need much UI, but I did add a victory screen that will appear centered on both of the players screens upon reaching the end of the level.
